Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Sittr for use of the Sittr iPhone app and this website. If you do not agree, do not use the app or the site. These Terms are not legal advice.

The service

Sittr is an iPhone app that helps sitters manage families, track timesheets, and create invoices they can share as PDFs. Accounts use Firebase Authentication with email and password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple. App content is stored in Cloud Firestore. This website is public (no login) and provides product information, Privacy Policy, Terms, and Support. The app is not available on Android or iPad at this time.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. You may sign in with email and password, Google, or Sign in with Apple. Do not share your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

License

We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the iPhone app and this site for their intended purpose. We and our licensors retain all rights in Sittr, including the name, logos, and software. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or misuse the service except as allowed by law.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you submit (for example your profile, family and member names, sitting types, timesheets, and invoices). You grant Sittr a worldwide license to host, process, display, and otherwise use that content solely to operate the service for you — including Firebase Auth and Firestore storage and backups.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for having the right to store and share it. Do not upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content. Family member names and contact details you enter are provided by you; Sittr does not independently verify them.

Not payroll, tax, or legal advice

Sittr is a recordkeeping and invoicing tool for sitting work. It is not a payroll processor, tax advisor, accountant, or law firm. Invoices and totals are based on information you enter. You are responsible for how you bill clients, collect payment, and handle any tax or legal obligations.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service if you are under 13
• Interfere with or disrupt the app, other users, or our infrastructure
• Attempt to access another user’s account or data without authorization
• Use the service for unlawful billing, fraud, or harassment

Termination and deletion

You may stop using the app at any time. You may delete your account in the app under Profile → DELETE ACCOUNT, which permanently removes the Firebase Authentication user and associated Cloud Firestore data (profile, families, sitting types, timesheets, invoices, and related records) as described in the Privacy Policy. If you cannot open the app, use Support. We may stop providing the service or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the product.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that invoices, totals, or PDFs are accurate for your situation, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SITTR AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF TEN U.S. DOLLARS (US $10) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Some places do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.

Changes

We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service and delete your account.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory local law applies. If a court finds a section unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
